Styrofoam® CI Insulation
Since its invention in 1941, Styrofoam™ Brand extruded polystyrene (XPS) has built a rich, storied heritage as an innovative, sustainable building product – creating an entire insulation material category. Its unique closed-cell structure and rigid foam board technology enables XPS to meet core thermal, moisture, air and vapor performance requirements.
The history of innovation continued in 2019, when DuPont began the process of reformulating Styrofoam™ Brand XPS Insulation to offer a low global warming potential (GWP) version. The transition was completed at the end of 2023. All sites in North America manufacturing Styrofoam™ Brand XPS Insulation now produce a low-GWP formulation signified by a new grey color.

Thermax CI Insulation
DuPont™ Thermax™ Sheathing is a multipurpose, nonstructural, rigid board insulation that is quick and easy to install in a wide range of exposed and concealed cavity wall applications. It consists of a glass-fiber-infused polyisocyanurate foam core laminated between 1.0-mil smooth, reflective aluminum facers on both sides. The glass fiber reinforcement contributes to improved fire performance and dimensional stability. DuPont™ Thermax™ Brand insulation delivers wall performance you can count on. It’s ready to meet your toughest building challenges – both outside and inside the wall – with a robust ISO insulation product line and an R-value that’s proven consistent over time and a range of temperatures.

Armorwall Plus®
DuPont™ ArmorWall™ Plus Fire-Rated (FR) Structural Insulated Sheathing (SIS) is an ICC listed (ESL-1302, ESL-1306, ESL-1442, ESL-1536, and ESL-1543), high strength, fire-resistant exterior wall sheathing product, with up to a two-hour fire rated assembly achievable. ArmorWall™ Plus FR SIS offers a factory-applied, high quality air and water-resistive barrier. Once seams and fasteners have been sealed the enclosure may be considered “dried-in”, allowing interior construction to commence regardless of final exterior finish status.
ArmorWall™ Plus FR SIS incorporates five traditional building enclosure elements into a single panel product: structural sheathing, fire-resistance, air barrier, water-resistive barrier, and a high-performance continuous insulation layer. The five-in-one system of ArmorWall™ Plus FR SIS can replace several traditional individual components, making it a cost-saving and labor-reducing option compared to traditional, individual components.

Triple Coated Rainscreen Systems
The KNIGHT WALL SYSTEMS® CI® system provides outstanding thermal performance by way of true CI (continuous insulation), while accommodating nearly any façade or cladding system – providing maximum versatility and durability, with ease of design and installation.
CI® system uses unique ¾” deep vertical box girts – called CI-GIRT® – designed to properly disburse the façade loads over exterior rigid insulation – with only unique thermally isolated fasteners penetrating the thermal barrier thus minimizing thermal bridging. It can be installed over most substrates including steel studs, wood studs, CMU and concrete.
For basic, cost-effective horizontal claddings, only a single layer of CI-GIRT® may be needed. For more complex cladding designs or types, choose from a wide variety of KWS® secondary rails for those panels requiring specific attachment points.
